Ingomar girls win back-to-back titles
Ingomar is battle tested. They know what it takes to win the big game. After winning their division, the Ingomar Falcons were on a roll during the 2A tournament. Today, they got it done again. They beat New Site 57-40 to win back-to-back titles.
After a close first half, the Falcons really took off. Their shots started falling and they were making it very hard for New Site.
“We knew our shots would start falling,” said Grisham. “I think we started off the game kind of nervous. Once we settled down we started to see our shots falling in.”
The Falcons went on a 12-1 run to start the second half. This momentum is what lead them to finish off the game as strong as they did.
They would start off the fourth quarter the same way they did the third. They were just too much for New Site.
“I think that everybody has a problem shooting in this gym,” said Ingomar’s head coach Trent Adair. “Once our girls calmed down, they really started to hit some shots.”
