Hickory Flat shoots past Falkner behind Laney Teel’s seven 3-pointers

The Hickory Flat Lady Rebels cruised to a 74-30 victory over Falkner on Tuesday behind the fiery shooting touch of sharp shooter Laney Teel who knocked down 7 of 8 three point attempts.

The Lady Rebels held Falkner to only six points in each of the final three quarters and got big defensive plays and transition buckets from R’Daztiny Harris to move to 17-7 (4-1) on the season.

Hickory Flat is in a 3 way tie for first place in their division currently.

Teel led all scorers with 23. Harris scored 19 while Marrie Simmons and Corlilla Burnside chipped in 11 each.

In boys action. the Rebels fell to Falkner 67-42 to fall to 4-20 on the season (0-5).

CJ McKinney was the lone Rebel in double digits, scoring 10.

Hickory Flat is in action next against division foe HW Byers.
