After a long and tumultuous process, Georgia transfer safety Otis Reese has been cleared by the NCAA and SEC for immediate eligibility.
According to Ole Miss, Reese’s initial waiver was declined by the NCAA. However, Reese and the program applied for another on different grounds than the first, and it was quickly approved.
Reese will be eligible for the final three games between Mississippi State, LSU, and possible bowl game.
Like all athletes this season, the NCAA will not count this season towards eligibility, so Reese will still have two years left with the Rebels if he so chooses.
