Since the Magnolia Bowl trophy was introduced in 2008, LSU leads the series 11-6. Ole Miss has won eight games over LSU when the Tigers are ranked in the top 10. The home team has won 12 of the last 14 meetings, and Ole Miss is 3-2 in its last five matchups with LSU, including the 2025 victory in Oxford.
Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding has faced ranked opponents in five of his first six games, including top-10 teams such as LSU, Georgia, and Miami. Running back Kewan Lacy is on a scoring streak, with at least one rushing touchdown in 11 consecutive games, and has 27 career rushing touchdowns, tied for third in school history.
