Ole Miss Men’s Tennis Set for ITA Sectional Championships

Ole Miss will send six players to Gainesville, Florida, for the ITA Sectional Championships, scheduled for Nov. 5-8 and hosted by the University of Florida.

The Rebels enter the tournament after a historic showing at the ITA Southern Regional Championships, where they claimed all three available NCAA qualifying spots. The school said it was the first time a team swept all three qualifying spots at a tournament in Southern Region history.

Moritz Kudernatsch and Pietro Pampanin qualified for the NCAA doubles championships, as did Igor Kudriashov and Kai Milburn. Niccolo Baroni and Kudriashov earned singles qualifications.

Baroni, Vlado Jankanj, Kudernatsch, Mason Landreth, Pampanin and Stefan Vedovelli are scheduled to represent Ole Miss in Gainesville. Head coach Jake Jacoby and assistant coach Jason Kros will lead the team, with athletic trainer Erin Moncrief accompanying the group.

The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships are scheduled for Nov. 17-22 in Athens, Georgia.
