Ole Miss Football Updates NFL Week 3 Performance of Former Rebels

Ole Miss Athletics released their Week 3 NFL update, highlighting the performances of 23 former Rebels across the league. Among the standout players was Tre Harris of the Los Angeles Chargers, who recorded six catches for 76 yards, both career highs, in a game against the Buffalo Bills.

Linebacker Princely Umanmielen of the Carolina Panthers made a significant impact with a sack of Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson in the third quarter. Umanmielen’s efforts earned praise, with the team sharing the play on social media.

Other former Rebels contributed in various roles. Ben Brown played 15 snaps for the New England Patriots in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, while Evan Engram played 40 snaps for the Denver Broncos in their win over the Los Angeles Rams. AJ Finley, starting for the Seattle Seahawks, recorded three tackles and a PFF grade of 83.7 in a defeat to Washington.

Wide receiver D.K. Metcalf caught three passes for 31 yards and scored a touchdown for the Steelers in their 30-27 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Tre Harris, also a wide receiver, had six receptions for 76 yards for the Chargers, both career bests. Several other former Rebels participated on special teams or in limited snaps, with some players not active for Week 3 games.

The update also listed players on injured reserve and practice squads, including Trey Amos of the Washington Commanders and Jaxson Dart of the New York Giants, among others. The university continues to track and celebrate the NFL accomplishments of its alumni.
