Mississippi State Alumni Lowe and Woodruff Featured in October Baseball Update
Mississippi State’s Oct. 11 professional baseball update highlights former Bulldogs Nathaniel Lowe and Brandon Woodruff as their clubs continue through the postseason.
Lowe joined Cleveland in a late-season trade and helped the Guardians win the American League Central, according to the school’s report. He went 2-for-4 with two singles and a walk against the Chicago White Sox in Game 4 of the American League Division Series on Oct. 8.
Woodruff’s Milwaukee Brewers won the National League Central. Mississippi State reported that the right-hander was rehabilitating a shoulder injury and hoped to return as a reliever if Milwaukee reached the World Series.
The update lists 51 former Mississippi State players in professional baseball during 2026. Its player-by-player report covers major-league and minor-league performances.
