Jones College Football Debuts at No. 15 in NJCAA Poll After Three Wins

Jones College football has entered the NJCAA Top 15 poll for the first time this season, ranking No. 15 after a three-game winning streak, according to the poll released Monday. The Bobcats (3-1) will travel to No. 13 Copiah-Lincoln on Thursday for the first of three consecutive games against Top 15 opponents.

The Bobcats lost their season opener to No. 3 Northwest, despite holding 21-point leads in both halves. They have since rebounded with three straight wins. Other MACCC teams ranked in this week’s poll include Mississippi Gulf Coast (No. 3), East Mississippi (No. 5), Northwest (No. 11), and Itawamba (No. 12).

Jones sophomore quarterback Jevarion Glover has thrown for 974 yards and four touchdowns, completing 69% of his passes. He has also run for 182 yards and two scores. CJ Rush leads the rushing attack with 324 yards and seven touchdowns. Wide receivers Tyree Barnett and Kaiden Smith have contributed 319 and 219 receiving yards, respectively, with Barnett scoring once.

Defensively, Delarrius Hayes leads the team with 28 tackles, including four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble. The Bobcats’ game against Co-Lin will be streamed live at jcbobcats.com/watch. Tickets are available for purchase in advance.
