Jones College field named 2026 NFCA Field of the Year
Community Bank Park/Gwen Magee Field at Jones College has been named a 2026 STADIONIC/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Field of the Year, one of eight facilities recognized across collegiate and high school levels.
The Jones College field, in the NJCAA category, was founded in 2011 and has a clay infield with Turface Diamond Mix and a hybrid 419 Bermuda grass outfield. The facility has 266 chairback seats.
Head coach Tori Dew credited grounds crew members Chris Archie and Caleb Overland with maintaining the park. Dew said the program was honored to call the facility home and thankful for the recognition.
The other honorees are California Baptist University, Rogers State University, East Texas Baptist University, Texas A&M University-San Antonio, College of San Mateo, Clackamas Community College and Washington Union High School in California. East Texas Baptist, Jones College and Washington Union are being recognized for a second time.
The NFCA award, sponsored by STADIONIC, recognizes facilities for grounds maintenance and playing surfaces. NFCA member coaches nominated the fields, and the NFCA Events Committee selected the winners. The honorees are scheduled to be recognized Dec. 12 at the association’s convention awards brunch.
