Mississippi Valley State Sets Week of SWAC Action with Volleyball and Football
Mississippi Valley State University’s athletic programs are focused on Southwestern Athletic Conference play this week. The Delta Devils volleyball team opens league action with two home matches, while the football team travels to Alabama State for a conference game.
On Friday, Sept. 25, the volleyball team hosts Texas Southern at 6 p.m. inside the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena. The match provides an opportunity for the Delta Devils to establish an early foothold in the conference in front of their home crowd.
Meanwhile, the football team will play on the road Saturday, Sept. 26, against Alabama State. The kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. in Montgomery, Alabama. The game marks the Delta Devils’ return to away play following their season opener at home.
The weekend concludes Sunday, Sept. 27, with volleyball hosting Prairie View A&M at noon at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex. This match closes a two-game home stand for the Delta Devils, as they aim to build momentum in conference play.
