Millsaps Women’s Golf Opens Fall Season at Texas Legends Cup

The Millsaps College women’s golf team opened the 2026 fall season at the Texas Legends Cup, held at The Legends Golf Course in Kingsland, Texas. The tournament took place Monday and Tuesday on a par-72 course, according to school officials.

Four freshmen made their collegiate debuts alongside junior Abigail Cerwick. Audrey Perry led the team with a 165, finishing in 38th place with rounds of 83 and 82. Perry finished four strokes ahead of teammate Hynslee Goff, who shot a total of 169 and placed 45th. Cerwick, also a junior, finished in 55th with a total of 173.

First-time competitors Madison Baker and Addison Forbes finished 60th and 65th, respectively. Baker’s total was 179, while Forbes finished with 188. The team is preparing for its next event at the Lee & Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

In the team standings, Mary Hardin-Baylor led with a total score of 581, followed by Trinity and Southwestern. Millsaps ranked 12th among 12 teams with a combined score of 684.
