Millsaps’ Myles Johnson Earns Two Weekly Defensive Honors

CANTON, Ga. — Millsaps College defensive tackle Myles Johnson has earned two weekly honors to kick off the 2026 football season. The junior from Maurice, Louisiana, was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week and was voted the Southern Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week, according to school officials.

Johnson contributed to Millsaps’ 36-20 victory over Belhaven in the Riverside Rumble on Thursday. He recorded six tackles, including a sack, two quarterback hurries, and forced a fumble. The forced fumble helped secure the win, coming with 2:15 remaining and the Majors leading 30-20.
