Jackson, Mississippi — Ciaran Colvin of the Belhaven men’s soccer team and Alyssa Wilson of the women’s team have been named C Spire Athletes of the Week, according to the university.
Colvin, a sophomore defender from New Port Richey, Florida, scored a goal and assisted in last weekend’s 4-2 victory over Hendrix. He appeared in three matches last week, totaling 180 minutes on the field, the school said.
Wilson, a freshman defender from Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, contributed with a goal and an assist in Belhaven’s 4-1 win over LaGrange in their conference opener. The teams are scheduled for upcoming matches, with the men’s team traveling to Rhodes today at 4 p.m. and hosting LaGrange on Saturday. The women’s team will compete in Georgia against Agnes Scott on Thursday and Piedmont on Saturday.
