Belhaven Places Five on CCS Men’s Soccer All-Conference Teams

Belhaven had five players named to the 2026 Collegiate Conference of the South men’s soccer teams, led by Defensive Player of the Year Ciaran Colvin and Goalkeeper of the Year Justin Ramirez.

Colvin, a junior defender, earned first-team recognition for the third consecutive season. He started 15 of Belhaven’s 17 matches, logged 1,243 minutes and contributed two goals and two assists. He also earned CCS Defensive Player of the Week honors for the fourth time in his career on Sept. 29.

Ramirez joined Colvin and midfielder Ricardo Flores on the first team. The sophomore made 51 saves in 15 starts, with a .708 save percentage, a 1.42 goals-against average and three solo shutouts. He also shared a shutout. Ramirez made eight saves in a 2-1 win over Piedmont and four in a scoreless draw at Huntingdon to close the regular season. Belhaven goalkeepers have won the conference’s top award four years in a row, with Max Rudolph honored in 2023 and Danny Bahena in 2024 and 2025.

Flores led Belhaven with six assists and scored three goals, including two game winners. He totaled 12 points in 14 appearances. Second-team selections Adrian Sanchez and Wyatt Dupre led the team in goals and shots, respectively. Sanchez had seven goals, 15 points and 39 shots in 17 starts. Dupre scored six goals and had 13 points, putting 20 of his 35 shots on goal in 16 appearances. Sanchez also earned CCS Offensive Player of the Week honors in September.

Senior forward CJ Koppeis was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team and received honorable mention. He appeared in 16 matches and recorded one goal and two assists.

Belhaven finished the regular season 8-7-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play, securing the No. 3 seed in the CCS Championship. The conference calendar listed a quarterfinal against No. 6 Huntingdon for Saturday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m. at Belhaven Bowl Stadium. The winner was scheduled to meet No. 2 Covenant in the semifinals Nov. 6 in Huntsville, Alabama.
