State 1878 to Host 2026 Farm Bureau Diamond Dawg Classic at Dudy Noble Field

STARKVILLE — State 1878 announced Wednesday that the 2026 Farm Bureau Diamond Dawg Classic will be held at Dudy Noble Field on Nov. 6. The event features a matchup between Team Thunder and Team Lightning.

Will Clark and Rafael Palmeiro will serve as general managers for their respective teams. Mitch Moreland will manage Team Thunder, with Jake Mangum as team captain. On the other side, Jonathan Papelbon will manage Team Lightning, with Tanner Allen serving as team captain.

The 2025 event drew 10,172 fans and showcased 51 Diamond Dawg alumni. Team Lightning defeated Team Thunder in a swing-off, with Hunter Renfroe besting Moreland in the final.

Tickets for the 2026 Classic will go on sale Monday, July 27. Additional rosters and event details will be announced at a later date.
