Southern Miss Women’s Tennis Hosts Georgia Southern on Saturday Morning

HATTIESBURG, Miss. — The University of Southern Mississippi women’s tennis team will host Georgia Southern on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the USM Tennis Complex. The match provides the Golden Eagles an opportunity to play on their home courts and build confidence as the spring season progresses.

Southern Miss has emphasized starting strong in doubles to set the tone for matches. The team plans to focus on aggressive play at the net and turning early advantages into pressure during singles. Coaches aim for players to remain sharp from the opening point, especially given the quick pace typical of Saturday’s morning start.

The Golden Eagles will have a full roster available, including Hannah Chambers, Gagana Mohan Kumar, Sakura Sudo, Miranda Xu, Kamornwan Kornsila, Pimmada Lim, Mia Hasashi-Morrissey, Celine Mosteanu, Manuella Persson, and Angelina Blinova. Piyanart Engineer leads the team with Abhijeet Tiwari assisting on the coaching staff.
