The Southern Miss baseball team travels to Norfolk, Virginia, for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series against Old Dominion, starting Thursday at 5 p.m. CT at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex. All games will be broadcast on ESPN+ and available via the Southern Miss Sports Network.

The Golden Eagles, ranked No. 8 nationally, enter the series with a 21-8 overall record and a 5-4 mark in the Sun Belt. They are tied for fourth place in the league standings with Arkansas State, South Alabama, and Marshall. Southern Miss trails league leader Coastal Carolina (9-0) by four games.

Southern Miss aims to rebound after a 5-1 midweek loss to Southeastern Louisiana. The team finished March with a 12-7 record. The series against Old Dominion marks a return to Norfolk for the Golden Eagles, who last played there in 2023, winning two of three games over Easter Weekend.

Senior Joey Urban continues to produce offensively, extending his hitting streak to seven games. He has nine runs scored, a double, a home run, and seven RBIs over that span. For the season, Urban is batting .318 with eight homers and 28 RBIs. Kyle Morrison leads the team with a .353 average, 10 home runs, and 28 RBIs.

On the mound, Grayden Harris is scheduled to start the series opener, followed by Camden Sunstrom in the second game. Harris is 4-1 with a 3.58 ERA, while Sunstrom is 2-1 with a 1.89 ERA. The starting pitcher for the series finale has not yet been announced.

Following the series, Southern Miss returns home Tuesday to face New Orleans at Pete Taylor Park, with first pitch slated for 6 p.m.
