The University of Southern Mississippi has announced a change to its baseball schedule. The Sun Belt Conference game against Georgia Southern, originally set for May 14, will now begin at 7 p.m. at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
The delay is to accommodate spring commencement activities on campus. The Graduate School commencement is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Reed Green Coliseum, prompting the schedule adjustment. The university said more information about game-day parking will be provided to impacted fans.
The series will continue with a game scheduled for 6 p.m. on May 15 and the regular-season finale set for 1 p.m. on May 16, both at the same location.
