Southern Miss Announces Home-and-Home Series with UConn

The University of Southern Mississippi announced Tuesday it has signed a home-and-home football series with the University of Connecticut. The first game is scheduled for Sept. 19, 2026, at Carlisle-Faulkner Field at M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg.

The series will conclude in Storrs, Connecticut, on Nov. 3, 2029. This marks the first-ever football meeting between the Golden Eagles and the Huskies, according to Southern Miss officials.

The 2026 non-conference schedule for Southern Miss includes games against Alcorn State, Auburn, Tulane, and UConn. The Huskies game is part of the team’s efforts to strengthen their schedule ahead of the 2026 season, officials said.
