Ole Miss Volleyball Defeats Central Arkansas 3-0

Ole Miss improved to 5-2 overall with a 3-0 win over Central Arkansas on Sunday afternoon at the Gillom Athletics Performance Center. The Rebels hit .376 as a team, their highest percentage since September 2025, and won all three sets convincingly.

Melia Johnson led Ole Miss with 12 kills on .458 hitting, while Shayla Meyer added nine kills on .300. Meyer also contributed two service aces, moving into eighth all-time in program history with 78 career aces in the rally scoring era, according to the university.

The Rebels opened the match strong, winning the first five points behind two service aces from Meyer. They maintained their momentum throughout the first set, hitting .393 and winning 25-18. Johnson went perfect on four attempts in the first set, helping Ole Miss secure the lead.

In the second set, Ole Miss built an early 8-3 advantage. Johnson and Jorda Crook kept the offense diverse and error-free, helping the Rebels dominate again with a 25-18 victory. Johnson closed out the set with a kill and a block alongside Nina Moorer.

The third set saw Central Arkansas fight to stay competitive, but Jaidyn Hartsfield’s energy off the bench proved pivotal. Hartsfield recorded a career-high four service aces during a 7-0 run that helped Ole Miss take control. She also posted seven kills on .583 hitting, and the Rebels ultimately won the third set 25-17, sealing the match.

Ole Miss is scheduled to host Clemson in the upcoming Showdown at the Net match at 6 p.m. Tuesday, streamed on SEC Network Plus.
