Ole Miss Track & Field Qualifies Nine Athletes for 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships

INDIANAPOLIS — The University of Mississippi track and field team has announced nine qualifiers for the upcoming NCAA Indoor Championships, scheduled for March 13-14 at the University of Arkansas. The qualifiers were released late Tuesday night, with seven athletes earning spots based on their season performances.

Ole Miss’s top performers include Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan, who ranks 20th nationally in the men’s shot put after a career-best throw of 21.18 meters (69-6). Robinson-O’Hagan also qualified in the men’s weight throw with a mark of 23.78 meters (78-00.25). Senior Alicia Burnett secured her spot with a 7.08-second run in the women’s 60-meter dash, the 10th-best time in collegiate history.

Additional qualifiers are junior Akaoma Odeluga, who finished third in the women’s shot put (18.69 meters, 61-4) and fifth in the weight throw (23.08 meters, 75-08.75); Arvesta Troupe, who is sixth in the men’s high jump with a clearance of 2.23 meters (7-3.75); and Skylar Soli, who is ninth in the women’s weight throw with a mark of 22.34 meters (73-3.50). Other qualifiers include Sterling Scott in the men’s triple jump (15th, 16.28 meters, 53-5) and Bryson Smith in the men’s weight throw (16th, 22.29 meters, 73-1.75).

Ole Miss will have multiple athletes competing across the two-day meet, with events scheduled to begin on Friday, March 13. The meet will feature preliminary rounds and finals, with the team aiming to improve on its best SEC Indoor finish in program history. The NCAA Championships will be held at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
