Ole Miss Men’s Track & Field Ranked No. 21 in USTFCCCA Week Four Poll
The University of Mississippi men’s track and field team is ranked No. 21 in the Week Four USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index, released Tuesday morning. This marks the team’s fourth consecutive outdoor ranking of the season, according to the USTFCCCA.
Ole Miss has made 77 appearances in the overall outdoor rankings, which combine both men’s and women’s teams. Head coach Connie Price-Smith, in her 11th year, has overseen 30 of those appearances for the men’s team, which was ranked 21st with 115.23 points this week.
The rating index relies on a computer algorithm that emphasizes individual performances. The system assigns point values to each mark, which are then combined to generate an overall team ranking. Ole Miss athletes posted several top performances this week, including Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan’s throws in shot put and hammer, and Sterling Scott’s triple jump.
The Rebels are taking a week off before returning to competition May 2 at the LSU Invitational. The team has been active throughout the season, competing in meets such as the Music City Challenge, SEC Championships, NCAA Championships, and more.
Ole Miss’s men’s team remains a strong contender nationally, with notable performances contributing to its ranking. The team continues to prepare for upcoming postseason events, including the SEC and NCAA championships.
