Ole Miss Men’s Tennis to Face Tennessee in SEC Tournament First Round
The Ole Miss men’s tennis team is preparing to compete in the 2025 SEC Tournament, scheduled to begin Wednesday, April 15, in College Station, Texas. The Rebels, seeded 10th, will face the 15th seed Tennessee in the opening round at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
The match is set for 10 a.m. Central Time, with live scoring and video available online. If Ole Miss advances, they could face seventh-seeded South Carolina on April 16 at 2 p.m. The tournament runs through April 19.
Ole Miss enters the tournament with an 18-8 overall record and a 6-8 mark in conference play. The team features several nationally ranked players, including singles players Stefano D’Agostino, ranked No. 81, and Matthieu Chambonniere, ranked No. 119, as well as doubles team Kai Milburn and Isac Strömberg, ranked No. 26 nationally.
Ole Miss recently faced Tennessee in a match 10 days prior, winning decisively. Tennessee finished its regular season with a five-match losing streak and has only one conference win, against Alabama.
The Rebels are aiming to advance further in the tournament after a strong finish to the season. The team’s roster includes standout players with international rankings and experience, such as Chambonniere, who finished with 23 singles wins in 2024, and D’Agostino, who was ranked as high as No. 2 in ITF singles last summer.
