Ole Miss Men’s Golf Qualifies for SEC Match Play

The University of Mississippi men’s golf team earned a berth in the match play portion of the SEC Championship for the first time since 2023, according to the school. The Rebels finished stroke play with a total score of 20-under par, shooting 281 (+1) in the final round to finish solo fourth.

Ole Miss, seeded fourth, will face fifth-seeded Texas A&M in the quarterfinals, scheduled to begin at 6:30 a.m. CT on Saturday. If the Rebels win, they will advance to the semifinals, which will be broadcast on SEC Network+ at 2 p.m. CT. The championship match on Sunday will be televised live on SEC Network at 7 a.m. CT.

Cohen Trolio led the team in the final round with a 4-under 66, finishing the tournament at 10-under par and tied for third place. Trolio’s performance marked his eighth round in the 60s this season and 15 rounds in red figures. Tom Fischer finished at 5-under, tied for 17th, while Cameron Tankersley was at 4-under, tied for 24th.

Ole Miss’s previous best finish this season was a third-place tie at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate. The team and its players will look to continue their run in the SEC Championship over the weekend.
