Northeast College ended its five-game losing streak to No. 19 Jones Community College with a 95-91 victory Monday night in Ellisville. The Tigers shot 56 percent from the field and made 11 three-pointers in the game.
Jones, which had won 27 straight home games over two seasons, has now lost three home games in the past three months, including back-to-back contests. Jones head coach Newton Mealer credited Northeast for their effort, saying,
