Mississippi Valley State Looks to Break Losing Streak Against New Orleans

The Mississippi Valley State University baseball team travels to New Orleans on Tuesday for a non-conference game against the Privateers. The game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Maestri Field.

The Delta Devils enter the contest with a 3-10 record and have not won a non-conference game since their 2009 season, when they defeated Stephen F. Austin and Northwestern State. Their opponent, New Orleans, holds a 7-9 record and is 2-4 in Southland Conference play.

Historically, the Privateers lead the series 8-0, with the last meeting taking place on March 12, 2023, at Maestri Field. In that game, New Orleans won 16-3. The Privateers have won eight consecutive meetings against Mississippi Valley State.
