Mississippi Valley State Ends Track Season at Mississippi State Meet
STARKVILLE, Miss. — The Mississippi Valley State University track and field program concluded its regular season Saturday at the Maroon & White Tune Up at Mike Sanders Track Complex.
The men’s team competed, with Timothy Rotich leading the Delta Devils. He finished fifth in both the 1,500 meters in 4:19.33 and the 5,000 meters in 16:01.15. Bernardo McGraw also scored in both events, taking seventh in the 1,500 meters and eighth in the 5,000 meters. Jusden Culpepper was the team’s sole field athlete, placing in the triple jump with a distance of 13.53 meters.
The women’s team saw Jamison Ware earn third place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 17:18.70. Alaya Rhodes cleared 1.50 meters to finish seventh in the high jump. Nyla Snead and Senyce Rene also competed in the javelin, with Snead throwing 16.18 meters and Rene recording 9.05 meters.
