Mississippi State Trio Named to Senior Bowl Top 300 List

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State football players Anthony Evans III, Kelley Jones, and Isaac Smith have been named to the 2027 Senior Bowl Top 300 list, the organization announced Thursday. The list recognizes draft-eligible college players deemed to have the talent and potential to succeed at the NFL level.

The Senior Bowl scouting department evaluated more than 2,000 prospects from across college football before finalizing the list. Inclusion on the list is a significant accomplishment and a key step in the draft evaluation process, which continues throughout the season.

Evans, a wide receiver, led Mississippi State last season with 67 receptions for 831 yards and four touchdowns. Jones, a cornerback, allowed the fewest receptions among SEC corners with 11. Smith, a safety entering his fourth season, was named an All-SEC Second Team selection in 2025. Both Evans and Jones have established themselves as key contributors and are being watched by NFL scouts.

While being named to the Top 300 is a notable milestone, players earn invitations to the Senior Bowl based on sustained performance. The scouting staff will monitor their progress throughout the college football season, offering additional opportunities to improve their draft stock.
