Mississippi State Receiver Anthony Evans Named to Biletnikoff Award Watch List
STARKVILLE — Mississippi State wide receiver Anthony Evans III has been named to the 2026 Preseason Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced Wednesday.
The award is presented annually to the outstanding FBS receiver, regardless of position. Inclusion on the watch list is based on actual performance from previous seasons, with candidates added as their seasons progress.
Evans, a key playmaker for the Bulldogs, aims to build on his career as an explosive offensive threat. Last season, he recorded a team-high 67 receptions for 831 yards and four touchdowns, all career highs. He is known for his versatility and big-play ability.
The Biletnikoff Award is decided by a national selection committee of 625 college football journalists, commentators, announcers, and former receivers. The award honors a single-season performance, with semifinalists, finalists, and the winner announced throughout the season. The recipient will be revealed at the College Football Awards on Dec. 11, 2026.
Evans also earned a spot on the Paul Hornung Award preseason watch list, which recognizes the most versatile players in college football, according to the school’s release.
