Millsaps College Names Class of 2026 to Athletics Hall of Fame
Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, has announced its 2026 inductees for the Athletics Hall of Fame. The class includes six former student-athletes and a longtime supporter who will receive the Sam Knox Distinguished Service Award, according to college officials.
The Class of 2026 marks the 51st induction since the hall’s inception in 1968. Inductees include Erica Cook, a 2011 graduate who competed in track and field and volleyball; John Fox, class of 2005, a baseball player; Mike Galatas, class of 2011, who played football and participated in track and field; Jason Hadley, class of 2007, a baseball player; Christina Sharp Bost, class of 2006, a softball player; and John Shivers, class of 2010, a football player.
Dr. Timothy Ward, a faculty member and supporter of Millsaps Athletics, will be honored with the Sam Knox Distinguished Service Award. The college will recognize the inductees, Dr. Ward, and 2025 Hall of Fame inductee Deena Li Kam Wa at events scheduled for September 18 and 19. The presentations will take place at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame & Museum and during halftime of the Hall of Fame Game against Hendrix College.
