Delta State University softball player Maeve Lavoy has been named to the All-Gulf South Conference team, the conference announced Wednesday. The honors are based on a vote by the conference’s head coaches.

Lavoy is the first Lady Statesmen to earn All-GSC honors since Kelly Byrd in 2019. She led Delta State with the highest batting average and the lowest earned run average during the 2026 season.

The Alberta native posted a .382 batting average with 34 hits, 13 RBIs, and a .934 OPS in 89 at-bats. On the mound, Lavoy pitched 134 innings, striking out 85 batters, with 12 complete games and one save.

She is listed as a senior left-handed pitcher and outfielder, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall. Her performance on both sides of the game earned her the conference recognition.
