Lindsey Mangelson Invited to 2026 USAV Women’s National Team Collegiate Training

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Mississippi State freshman outside hitter Lindsey Mangelson has been invited to participate in the 2026 USAV Women’s National Team Collegiate Training camp, according to the university.

Head coach Julie Darty Dennis expressed pride in Mangelson’s achievement. “I am so excited and proud of Lindsey,” Dennis said. “Being invited to this tryout is a great honor. Lindsey is still early in her collegiate career, and she’s already making a significant impact. This will be a valuable experience for her, and she has shown she is capable of much more for us. We’re proud to have her represent Mississippi State in Colorado Springs. Hail State!”

Mangelson is one of 62 collegiate volleyball players from 20 USAV regions and 29 NCAA Division I universities selected for the training camp. She is among 15 players representing the Southeastern Conference, joining athletes from Texas, Texas A&M, Tennessee, LSU and Kentucky.

The invitation marks the first time since 2022 that a Mississippi State player has been selected for this national training opportunity. In her debut season, Mangelson led the Bulldogs offensively in kills and points scored. She earned All-SEC Second Team and Freshman Team honors, was named an AVCA South Region Honorable Mention, and received two SEC Freshman of the Week awards.

The training camp will take place this weekend at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center. Participants will undergo on-court training and attend professional volleyball presentations from Athletes Unlimited, Major League Volleyball, and League One Volleyball.
