Jones Volleyball Sweeps Bishop State in Home Opener

ELLISVILLE, Miss. — The Jones College volleyball team improved to 4-2 overall Friday night with a straight-set win over Bishop State Community College. The Bobcats fought through a tight first set before winning 28-26, then took control in the second and third sets, 25-14 and 25-15, respectively.

The opening set was competitive, with neither team able to establish a clear lead. Jones edged Bishop State late to secure the win. The Bobcats then pulled away in the second set, building a commanding 2-0 match lead with a 25-14 victory. They carried that momentum into the third, closing out their first home victory of the season with a 25-15 win.

Jones is scheduled to host Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Monday at 6 p.m. Tickets are available online for $8 at jcbobcats.com/tickets; prices increase to $10 at the door.
