Jones College Volleyball Celebrates First Four-Year Signing Class
ELLISVILLE — Jones College celebrated its first four-year signing class last week, two years after the volleyball program began competing. Four players, including three sophomores and one freshman, committed to four-year colleges across the country, according to head coach John Dussouy.
Among the signees are Harmony Jackson, who signed with McNeese State; Mamie Fromdahl, heading to Mississippi College; Chelsea Daffin, joining Auburn University at Montgomery; and Madolyn Mills, transferring to Baptist University of Florida. Jackson was the program’s first NJCAA All-American in 2024 and earned multiple accolades during her career.
Jackson, a pin hitter, finished her Jones career first in MACCC history in kills (872) and points scored (964). She was named an NJCAA First Team All-American and MACCC Player of the Year as a sophomore. Fromdahl, a setter, was the MACCC Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman and led the league with 1,041 assists in 2024. Her 2,035 career assists are second in MACCC history.
Daffin transferred from the University of New Orleans and started 32 of 35 matches at Jones, hitting .270 with 264 kills. Mills, a middle blocker, helped Baker High School win its first state championship in 2023. During her season at Jones, she played 24 matches with 61 kills and 42 blocks.
Jones finished the season with a 30-5 record, winning the MACCC championship and Region 23 title. The team was ranked 21st nationally in the final NJCAA poll. The program’s inaugural season ended with a 28-8 record and region championship, highlighting rapid success under Dussouy’s leadership.
