Jones College softball team is No. 3 seed in Region 23 Tournament

Jones College softball will enter the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament as the No. 3 seed. The Bobcats are ranked sixth nationally and will compete May 2-5 at Pearl River Community College in Poplarville.

Jones is scheduled to face No. 6 seed Itawamba on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Pearl River. The tournament features four teams in a pod hosted by Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

The event was originally scheduled to begin Thursday but was postponed two days due to weather conditions. Tickets are $15 per day and can be purchased at PRCCAthletics.com/tickets. All scouts will be admitted free, and state passes will be accepted. The Pearl River box office will only accept card payments; cash will not be accepted.

All tournament games will be streamed live for free at PRCCMedia.com/gold, allowing fans to watch remotely.
