Jackson State Track and Field Shines at UAB Green and Gold Invite

Jackson State’s track and field team competed Friday at the UAB Green and Gold Invite at the Birmingham Crossplex. The Tigers recorded four top-three finishes and five personal bests, according to team officials.

Ronald Huddleston finished second in the 60-meter dash in 6.87 seconds. Fabian Campbell also placed second in the 800-meter race with a time of 1:54.30. Kaiden Berry and Robert Salhab each secured second-place finishes in their respective field events, with Berry throwing 16.54 meters in the shot put and Salhab tossing 17.74 meters in the weight throw.

Several athletes achieved personal bests during the meet. Madyson McGill and Korbin Lewis both set new marks in the pole vault. Lorine Jelagat and Collins Kibet posted personal bests in the mile run, while Kayla Williams, Rickey Green II, and Sedgwrick Pitts Jr. all recorded their best performances in the 60-meter hurdles and dash.
