Jackson State to Hold Student-Athlete Graduation Stole Ceremony Thursday

Jackson State University will host its annual stole ceremony Thursday to honor 47 student-athletes graduating this weekend. The event begins at 12:30 p.m. inside the Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assembly Center.

During the ceremony, three student-athletes will deliver speeches. Callie Calicut from track and field, Isabella Benavides from women’s tennis, and Tymon Wells from football are scheduled to address their peers, according to university officials.

The honorees come from 11 different sports, including football, softball, soccer, men’s basketball, men’s tennis, volleyball, baseball, and track and field. One student-athlete, Khamauri Rogers, will receive his master’s degree alongside his undergraduate diploma.
