Gulf South Conference adjusts 2026 baseball series schedule between MC and West Alabama

The Gulf South Conference has approved a schedule change for the 2026 baseball series between Mississippi College and West Alabama, citing the threat of inclement weather.

Originally, the series was set to feature a single game on Friday followed by a doubleheader on Saturday. The new schedule flips that structure, with a doubleheader scheduled for Friday, Feb. 13, beginning at 2 p.m. The Saturday game has been scaled back to a single contest, set for 1 p.m. on Feb. 14.

Last season, the teams split their six meetings. West Alabama took three of four during the regular season, but Mississippi College claimed two victories in the Gulf South Conference Tournament in Oxford. The Choctaws enter the series after an 8-6 win over William Carey on Tuesday, rallying late to secure their fifth consecutive victory over the Crusaders.

Fans can follow the action from Livingston on GoChoctaws.com, with all three games streamed live on FloCollege.
