Five Southern Miss Beach Volleyball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, Ind. — Five Southern Miss beach volleyball players have been named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team, the organization announced Thursday. The honorees are Laurel Dennis, Y-Nhu Do, Sadie McAda, Zuzanna Michalska and Jaden White.
Dennis, a junior from Gulfport, Mississippi, recently completed her undergraduate degree and is pursuing a master’s in business administration at Southern Miss. She was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference First Team after posting a 19-18 record at the top flight and earned a bid to the AVCA Pairs National Championship this fall.
Do, a sophomore from Cary, North Carolina, is working toward her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She competed at the fourth and fifth pairings, finishing with a 14-18 record. She was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team after a 3-1 performance at the conference championship.
McAda, a junior from Pleasanton, Texas, is pursuing a degree in kinesiology. She earned First-Team honors alongside Dennis as part of Southern Miss’s top flight team. Michalska, a senior from Warsaw, Poland, graduated this spring with a bachelor’s in general business and earned second-team all-conference honors with a 22-15 record at the second pairing.
White, a sophomore from West Palm Beach, Florida, studies health sciences and biology with a minor in business administration. She played across the third, fourth and fifth flights, finishing with an 18-14 record. Her performance included a 9-9 record at the third flight, 1-0 at the fourth, and 8-5 at the fifth.
Southern Miss’s five selections are the second-most in the Sun Belt Conference this season and the most since beach volleyball was added to the CSC At-Large Division. The All-District teams recognize top student-athletes who excel academically and athletically, requiring a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participation in at least 75% of team scoring events for beach volleyball.
