BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. — Blue Mountain College delivered a pair of walk-off wins over No. 12 Mobile State on Senior Day, marking one of their most resilient performances of the season. The Toppers secured the sweep in two tightly contested games.

Game 1 was a pitchers’ duel, with neither team breaking through until the final inning. Madison Montgomery pitched a complete-game shutout, limiting the Rams to five hits. In the bottom of the seventh, Maryn Macri, running for Vaye Savage, scored on a double by Bre Ramsey, giving Blue Mountain a 1-0 victory. The walk-off sealed the game and energized the senior-heavy crowd.

Game 2 saw an offensive shift early, with Blue Mountain building a 4-0 lead. Aspen Teague drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the third, and Savage, Lakyn Nichols, and Karen Wisher added RBIs in the sixth inning. Mobile responded in the seventh, scoring four runs and tying the game amid worsening field conditions. During the rally, Montgomery relieved Montgomery after pitcher Neely Cooper was hit by a line drive.

With the game tied at 4-4, the Toppers once again found a way to win. In the bottom of the seventh, Savage was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, bringing home the winning run in a 5-4 walk-off victory. Anna Harrison led offensively, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, while Savage drove in two RBIs. Nichols and Wisher also contributed with RBIs, rounding out a balanced offensive effort.

Across both games, Blue Mountain demonstrated poise and toughness, responding to high-pressure moments and finishing strong against a nationally ranked opponent. The victories marked a memorable Senior Day for the team.
