Belhaven Sends Three Players to CCS All-Conference Teams

ATLANTA — The Collegiate Conference of the South announced its 2025-26 women’s basketball postseason awards, with Belhaven University earning three all-conference honors following an 18-6 regular season. The Blazers earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming CCS Tournament.

Veronica Williams was named to the All-CCS First Team, and Katelyn Coleman also received first-team honors. Chrystianna Beeman was selected to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team, the conference announced Monday.

Williams, a senior guard from Philadelphia, Mississippi, earned her first career All-CCS honor. She averaged 17 points in key conference games and was a consistent contributor across the stat sheet. Williams shot over 81% at the free-throw line and scored 17 points in Belhaven’s 80-48 victory over Wesleyan on Senior Day.

Coleman, a senior guard from Mound Bayou, Mississippi, also received her first all-conference nod. She was named CCS Player of the Week twice and played a pivotal role in the Blazers’ late-season surge. Coleman averaged 11.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, finishing with 269 points and 139 rebounds for the season. Her standout game was a 24-point, 14-rebound effort in a win over Huntingdon.

Beeman, a senior guard from Pelahatchie, Mississippi, was recognized for her leadership and character. She contributed valuable minutes off the bench and was a key part of Belhaven’s deep rotation. Beeman’s positive influence earned her a spot on the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team.

Belhaven now prepares for the CCS Tournament, where it will face the winner of the game between No. 3 seed Asbury and No. 6 seed Huntingdon on Friday, Feb. 27. The game will be hosted by LaGrange, with tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m. EST.
