Alcorn State Hosts Miles College in Season Opener Saturday
Alcorn State University will welcome Miles College for its football season debut on Saturday. The game is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. at Jack Spinks – Marino Casem Stadium.
Gates open two hours before kickoff. Fans can expect performances from the Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite Marching Band and the Golden Girls, along with a halftime show. The game will be streamed live on SWACTV, and radio coverage will be available on WPRL 91.7 FM and online at wprl.org. Fans can also follow live updates on Alcorn Athletics’ social media channels.
Parking opens at 10 a.m., with designated accessible areas clearly marked. Fans are encouraged to display their hangtags for easy entry. Vehicles must be parked in assigned areas, and tow trucks will be on-site for violations. The main entry gate will allow access for general tailgate passes ($65), reserved tailgate passes, VIP, premium, bus/RV, and ADA parking.
Tailgating is permitted only in designated areas with a valid tailgate pass. Set-up begins at noon on Fridays. After the game, general parking and tailgate areas must be vacated within one hour, while reserved tailgate areas have a two-hour window. All equipment and vehicles must be removed by departure. RV lots close at noon Sunday.
All transactions for parking passes and tickets are cashless, including concessions operated by Sodexo Magic. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets and passes online beforehand. Cellular connectivity may be limited, so downloading tickets and passes in advance is recommended.
Stadium gates open two hours before kickoff. Clear Bag Policy is in effect, allowing only clear plastic bags measuring 12x6x12 inches, small clutch bags, or one-gallon clear freezer bags. Non-clear bags must stay in vehicles. Mississippi High School Association passes are not accepted at this event.
ADA accessibility is available via a designated parking lot and complimentary shuttle service. Fans requiring transportation should notify university staff. Golf carts are permitted, but ATVs and large side-by-side vehicles are not allowed. Children under 16 are restricted from driving golf carts.
Campus will be a walking campus from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 29, with student parking restricted to decals. The back gate will close at 5 p.m. for safety. Medical personnel will be stationed around campus and inside the stadium. In case of emergency, fans should contact security or call 601-877-3000. No re-entry is permitted; fans leaving must have a new ticket to re-enter.
