Ole Miss schedules Auburn game for Saturday morning in Oxford
No. 12 Ole Miss is scheduled to host Auburn at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi, according to the university’s game-day guide.
Parking operations are listed to begin at 7 a.m. The North Plaza tailgate is scheduled to open at 7 a.m., followed by Coca-Cola FanFest at 8:45 a.m. Stadium gates are set to open at 9:45 a.m., the same time as a pregame radio show in front of Faser Hall.
The guide lists the Walk of Champions for 9:05 a.m. and the Pride of the South Grove show for 10:30 a.m. The Pride of the South pregame show is scheduled for 11:27 a.m., followed by the national anthem at 11:32 a.m. and kickoff at 11:45 a.m.
Ole Miss says game tickets use NFC-enabled tap-and-go entry. Fans are encouraged to add tickets to a mobile wallet before arriving. Screenshots and forwarded tickets will not be accepted; fans should use the ticket-transfer feature to share tickets.
Because of construction at Jones Hall, portions of Grove Loop will be closed to through traffic on game days. Vehicles entering campus from University Avenue will not be able to turn right onto Grove Loop. For pickups and drop-offs on the north side of The Grove, the university directs drivers to enter from Jackson Avenue, travel down Sorority Row, turn into the designated zone on Grove Loop and exit via Alumni Drive and Gertrude Ford Boulevard.
The pickup and drop-off zone is intended for brief stops, with no waiting for passengers or unattended vehicles. Violators may be towed, the guide says. University Avenue will remain available for drop-offs until it closes about four hours before kickoff because of pedestrian traffic. Loading and unloading there is limited to 15 minutes.
The university also warns that entering the playing field is prohibited. It says violators could face arrest and loss of ticket privileges for the current and following season, and that stadium cameras will be used to identify those who enter the field.
The game is listed for television on the SEC Network, with radio coverage on the Ole Miss Radio Network and live audio at OleMissSports.com. The guide says The Grove is scheduled to close at 6:30 p.m.
