Ole Miss, Georgia Set for Oxford Showdown

No. 10 Ole Miss is scheduled to face No. 2 Georgia at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford on Saturday, with kickoff listed for 6:30 p.m. CT. ABC is scheduled to televise the game, and SEC Nation coverage from Oxford is listed to begin at 8 a.m. CT.

The teams will meet for the 51st time in a series dating to 1940. Georgia leads the series 34-15-1 and is 10-7 in games played in Oxford, but Ole Miss has won the teams’ past two meetings at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Ole Miss has converted 30 of 31 red zone trips, a 96.8% rate that ranks third nationally, according to the team. The Rebels also rank sixth in FBS in offensive tempo, averaging 22.7 seconds per play.

The Rebels’ offensive line has allowed no sacks in its past 137 pass-blocking snaps across three games. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has thrown a touchdown pass in 21 consecutive games, the second-longest streak in program history, Ole Miss said.

Ole Miss has recorded 38 home wins since 2021, tied for the most in FBS over that span, and has a .927 home winning percentage, which ranks second nationally behind Georgia. The program lists its all-time Oxford record as 318-116-8 before vacated wins.

Georgia is the ninth ranked opponent Pete Golding will have faced in his first 12 games as Ole Miss head coach, according to the team. Golding is 5-3 against ranked opponents, including a 39-34 win over Georgia in the teams’ most recent meeting, in the College Football Playoff.
