After head coach Kermit Davis Jr. tested positive for COVID-19 last week, many worried about potential issues affecting the Rebels upcoming slate of games.
Those worries have come to fruition.
On Monday, Ole Miss Basketball announced that due to additional positive tests and contact tracing, the upcoming Justin Reed Classic and separate home matchup versus the Memphis Tigers have been cancelled.
Team activities of all kinds are suspended until December 7.
The Rebels will now begin their season on December 12 versus the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
