Hinds’ Anthony Loftin Named MACCC Special Teams Player of the Week

Raymond, Mississippi — Hinds Community College freshman Anthony Loftin has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Special Teams Player of the Week. The award follows his performance in the Eagles’ 52-28 victory over East Central Community College on Thursday night.

Loftin ignited the game with a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, providing a crucial spark for Hinds. He finished the night with 138 kickoff return yards, averaging 46 yards per return, and totaled 155 all-purpose yards. His contributions helped the Eagles maintain advantageous field position throughout the game.

The standout returner’s explosive performance on special teams was key to Hinds’ victory, which improved their overall record to 3-2 and their conference mark to 2-0 in the South Division. The Eagles are scheduled to return to action Thursday, Oct. 1, when they visit Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
