Mississippi Valley State University announced its men’s basketball schedule for the 2026-27 season, highlighted by an early road trip and a conference opener under new head coach Mike Davis.
The Delta Devils start the season Nov. 6 at Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, beginning a four-game road swing through three states within the first eight days. They then travel to Seattle to face Washington on Nov. 9, followed by games at Oregon and Oregon State on Nov. 11 and Nov. 13, respectively.
Following the Oregon trip, Valley visits Arkansas on Nov. 20, adding a notable nonconference game. The schedule also includes road games at Michigan on Dec. 1, UConn on Dec. 8, Mississippi State on Dec. 15, and Ohio State on Dec. 22.
The team wraps up November with a game at New Mexico on Nov. 25. In December, the schedule features contests at North Texas, Tulane, Texas Tech, and Baylor, with the final two on consecutive days, Dec. 28 and Dec. 29.
SWAC play begins Jan. 2 at Alabama State, followed by a game at Alabama A&M on Jan. 4. The Delta Devils will host Prairie View A&M on Jan. 9 and Texas Southern on Jan. 11 in their home debut. Tipoff times will be announced later, according to school officials.
