Millsaps Swimming and Diving Ready for 2026-27 Season

Jackson, Miss. — Millsaps College’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs are preparing for the 2026-27 season. The teams, led by second-year head coach Andrew Foltz, aim to compete strongly throughout the season.

Senior Payton Jones, a distance specialist and school record holder in the 1000- and 1650-yard freestyle events, returns as a veteran leader. Last season, Jones claimed first in the 400-yard individual medley at a home tri-meet against Rhodes College and Meridian Community College, finishing with a time of 5:17.99. Joining him are transfer Holden Cook from Northwest Mississippi Community College and freshmen Eric Blanco and Ricky Wells, who are expected to make an immediate impact.

On the women’s side, juniors Kaleigh Tonjes and freshman Zoe Grace are expected to lead the team. Both athletes are working together to make an impact this season.

The teams will compete in eight regular-season meets, starting Sept. 25 at the Magnolia Invitational hosted by Delta State. The schedule includes dual meets against Rhodes College, Berry College, Austin College, Hendrix College, and Loyola New Orleans. The season concludes with the Southern Athletic Association Championships, set for Feb. 10-13 in Danville, Kentucky.
