Kiersten Taylor earns third-team All-SLIAC honors
Kiersten Taylor was named to the third-team All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s soccer team, becoming the only player in Mississippi University for Women history to earn All-SLIAC honors twice.
The senior midfielder previously made the first team in 2024, when she was a sophomore. Taylor did not play in 2025 but returned for her final season in 2026. She led the Owls with three assists and one goal, which decided a match against Agnes Scott College.
Taylor attempted 24 shots and put 16 on target, a 67% shots-on-goal rate that ranked third on the team. Coach Valerie Greer praised Taylor’s field awareness and said her return helped complete the midfield trio alongside Emma Hall and Abby Warchus.
Senior defender Adayah Wood, who joined the Owls from Hinds Community College, was named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. Mississippi University for Women has received five All-SLIAC awards in its four seasons in the conference; the program had not earned one since 2024.
