Jackson State Tennis Kicks Off Fall Season at Tiger Invite

Jackson State’s men’s and women’s tennis teams opened their fall season with the Tiger Invite at the JSU Tennis Center on September 11-12. The tournament featured a round-robin format with both teams competing in doubles and singles matches.

Play began Friday at 9 a.m. with doubles matches, followed by women’s singles at 10 a.m. and men’s singles at 11:30 a.m. The competition included four flights for doubles and eight flights for singles, providing a diverse field of competition.

The men’s team has eight players, including four returners and four newcomers. The women’s team also features eight players, with seven returning and one newcomer. Teams competing alongside Jackson State include Alcorn State, Co-Lin, Dillard, and Mississippi Christian.
